The location of Las Buganvillas could not be better for those who like to explore. Within walking distance are the fantastic Blue flag beaches lined with Chiringuito’s, shops, bars and restaurant’s, take a right turn on the boardwalk for tranqulity and serenity. In all you will find 10 Blue flag beaches within walking distance.

The port of Duquesa offers around 50 restaurants and bars and we can certainly recommend a few! Further along the promenade you will find San Luis de Sabinillas. This is a typical Spanish town where the Spanish eat and drink and use the beach side restaurants with boats on the beach smoking the catch of the day!
Take a 15 minute drive and you will find the white washed village of Casares, with its steep winding alleys and tucked away bars and restaurants.

A must see is the beautiful town of Estepona. It is currently undergoing major restructuring to make it very pedestrian friendly. The old town is aligned with picturesque narrow back streets with colourful flowerpots, shops and bars with a fantastic square full of restaurants offering various cuisines.
Gibraltar, known for the monkeys and cheap alcohol is found a 25 minute drive away. Albeit the rock can be seen from most beachside locations as can Morocco.
For jet setters Puerto Banus and Marbella are @ 25 mins away and the ‘Port’ of Banus offers upmarket boutiques, bars, (lovely cars and huge private boats) etc.

A fantastic water park in Algeciras some 35 mins away is definitely worth a trip for the younger ones (50 to 70) included! A few miles further south the Med meets the Atlantic in the boho and chic Tarifa. Golden sands stretch for miles but it can be windy! From here you can also catch the ferry to Tangier.
For sight seeing we recommend Malaga Old Town, Nerja, Mijas, Cadiz, Frigiliana or possibly an overnight in our favourite city of Seville.
So much to do - you will want to go back time and time again - just as we did. Enjoy!!
